Mong Kok PLOG w/ hk ploggers
10 May 2019 (Friday)
19:00pm - 22:00pm
Hong Kong has a huge trash problem, that is no secret.
Whether you are traversing through a country park, relaxing at a beach or walking through the busy metropolis, it is impossible to avoid waste.
Unfortunately, a lot of rubbish gets neglected until it is too late. Contrary to what many people may think, even waste in the city centre, through being washed into the gutter, can end up in the ocean.
Our goal is to avoid this scenario as much as possible through cleanups, making sure to leave places spotless.
This Friday’s plog will take place in Mong Kok. The sign up point will be at Fa Yuen Street Sports Centre from which point we will run roughly 4km, followed by a cool down and discussion, with time for individuals to take photos, shower at the sports centre and change.
More information on how to get to the sports centre as well as facilities available, you can check here: https://www.lcsd.gov.hk/clpss/en/webApp/Facility/Details.do?ftid=0&did=17
Reusable bags, gloves and a limited number of litter pickers will be provided, however please feel free to bring your own.
