KAYAKING CLEANUPS

Explore Hong Kong's beauty and give back through our fun outdoor cleanup adventure!

Hong Kong’s strong seasonal winds and waves continually sweet debris into our waters. To safeguard our marine ecosystem, Green Hour invites ocean lovers to join our mission!

 

Paddle with Green Hour on a guided kayaking adventure along Hong Kong’s scenic coastline. Bring your family or friends to enjoy a leisurely kayak session while actively contributing to a meaningful beach cleanup.

The mild sea and short paddling route ensures this event is ideal for families or groups with limited kayaking experience. Join us to combine outdoor fun with environmental action!

  • Sai Kung Sha Ha > Yeung Chau > Pak Sha Chau

Cost per head: $300

Children & teens under the age of 18 must be accompanied by at least one parent at all times.

Minimum quota per event is 6 participants. Maximum group size of 16 participants.


Price Includes:

Cleanup/kayak guides, equipment, safety gear and e-certificates.

  • If you wish to book a private event for friends, family or corporates, please fill in the form at the bottom of the page and we will get back to you as soon as possible!

What do I need to bring?

  • Must bring: Water shoes that covers your toes, swimwear, extra clothing, hat, sunscreen, dry bag and drinking water of 750ml or more.

  • Recommended: Sunglasses, sunscreen and insect repellent (put on before the kayaking). We also recommend you bring spare clothes to change into after the event.

  • To allow us to start on time, please change into the kayaking gear and settle your personal belongings in advance.

Bad weather policy?

  • Our events follow the Hong Kong Observatories weather advisory. If any Typhoon signals or rain warnings are hoisted, the event will be rescheduled to the next available date in relation to that event (for example, the next available Saturday if the event is on a Saturday).

  • The latest we will provide notice of any cancellation or rescheduling will bye made at least 2 hours before the event (usually 6am the day of the event) and communicated via WhatsApp and email.

*We will expand our route list whenever we have new ones available.​​​​​​

**Volunteers who can verify they have joined at least 2 events in the past 6 months will get a discount.

Our next kayaking event

If you wish to join a private event separate to the listed dates, please get in touch and we can arrange a group activity for up to 16 individuals.

  • How can I join public events?
    All of our public events are on our website. We welcome members of the public to reach out if they would like to organise their own events. We can help with event promotion, provision of materials (if needed) and a platform to share the results!
  • Can companies join public events?
    Our listed public events are for individuals and families only. Companies who would like to organise a corporate event with us can contact us at info@greenhourhk.com. More information on our CSR programmes can be found here.
  • What do I need to bring with me?
    All materials, including reusable gloves, rubbish bags, litter pickers and anything else needed for the cleanups will be provided. Simply bring a reusable bottle of water, bug spray, and tons of energy!
