Dear all, We at Green Hour would like to wish you all a Happy year of the Rabbit! It's been a wonderful 12 months for Green Hour. We've hosted 6 cleanup events and our Bun Run, which have been running non-stop every week. We’ve formed some great new partnerships with schools and universities Here’s a recap of the past 3 months and what we have coming up next in 2023!
WHAT HAVE WE BEEN UP TO?
We’d like to wish a huge thank you to those of you who joined our previous event on Peng Chau in November in partnership with Skreen HK! Click here to check out some pictures of our lovely volunteers during the event!
We managed to collect a lot of rubbish (over 20 bags worth!) thanks to our team of dedicated volunteers! More information below about our next scheduled cleanup on February 12th! Look forward to seeing you there!
SURPLUS FOOD DISTRIBUTION
The last three months of 2022 were great for our Bun Run! Beginning in September, we began out partnership with students from Hong Kong Metropolitan University. Over three evenings from September - November, a number of students took part in our weekly Bun Run programme, learning of the importance of fighting food waste and how we as a society can do our part to end food waste and hunger through direct action!

The Bun Run is continuing to grow and 2023 we have big plans to expand our project to more locations including Yuen Long, Hong Kong Island and others. For this to happen we need your help! We are looking for dedicated individuals who can commit on a weekly basis to collect from a bakery in their local area and work with us to to distribute it amongst the community. Our Upcoming Cleanup!
